Our Picks
Stainless Steel Bento Lunchbox
Plastic bento boxes
Leak-resistant compartments
18/8 steel
Why we picked it: Stainless steel compartments don't stain or absorb food odors, so you can pack foods directly without plastic wrap or bags.
Insulated Food Jar
Microwaved plastic tubs
Keeps soup warm until noon
Vacuum-insulated steel
Why we picked it: Vacuum insulation holds warm food for hours, so you can heat food in a pot and skip microwaving it in plastic, which the AAP recommends avoiding when possible.
Reusable Silicone Snack Bags
Disposable zip bags
Dishwasher-safe
Platinum silicone
Why we picked it: Platinum silicone can be washed and reused for months, replacing a steady stream of single-use plastic bags.
Organic Cotton Lunch Bag
Vinyl-lined bags
Washable, no vinyl lining
GOTS cotton
Why we picked it: GOTS certification covers organic fiber content and restricts harsh chemicals during processing, and a washable cotton bag avoids vinyl (PVC) linings.
